The first Cherokee National Park.....Saline National Park

October 10th, 2005, the Cherokee Nation's Tribal Council approved a resolution that name the Saline Courthouse site as the "Saline National Park". The resolution also approved a preservation plan for the site.

 

Cherokees dedicated to preserving
the only one remaining of nine original courthouses.

 

Save our Saline Courthouse

The "historic" Saline Courthouse built in 1884 is deteriorating.

It is on Oklahoma's list of  Most Endangered Properties for 2004.

Also on the National Register of Historic Properties.

It has  14 scenic acres near Rose, OK, encircled by pristine Snake Creek
