Saline Preservation Association has been awarded a $3000 grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Ruth and Allen Mayo Fund for Historic Preservation in Oklahoma to produce measured drawings and professional photography of the Saline District Courthouse and Springhouse.
The Saline Preservation
Association, Cherokee Nation, Fritz-Baily and George Odell have been selected to
receive the 2007 State Historic Preservation Officer's Citation of Merit. This
special recognition is given for the exemplary research and planning efforts for
preservation of the Saline Courthouse. The Citation of Merit is awarded annually
to individuals, organizations, agencies or firms that have made important
contributions in the preservation of Oklahoma's rich heritage. This year the
awards presentation ceremony will be held during the statewide preservation
conference in Guthrie on Thursday, June 7, 2007.
